It is the will of God for every Spirit-filled believer to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are also called to make disciples, which we can do by teach Bible studies.

In the beginning of Matthew 28:19, Jesus said to His disciples, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,..." This commissioning was not only for His disciples or those a part of the first century Church. When we are born again of the water and Spirit, we also receive this commissioning to "teach all nations". A great way to fulfill this call is by teaching a Bible study. This 4-lesson series provides guidance of preparing to teach someone, finding a soul to teach, and starting the Bible study.

    The Spirit of Man

    1 Thessalonians 5:22-23

Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is interested in the whole man and not a fraction of an individual. We spend much attention on the body (the outward man), and we give credence to the soul. However, the spirit of man is often neglected, but God desires to sanctify us entirely and make us whole.

Unresolved shame is the most debilitating spiritual condition with which we contend today. It is the root cause of almost all Christian inconsistency. It is the primary reason many do not pray. It is the foundational reason for almost all backsliding.

    The Emotions of Shame

Sometimes people have so buried the source of their shame that they live in denial that they have any shame at all. However, the evidences of shame are irrefutable. Shame has many distinct, symptomatic emotions which the person with shame cannot bury. When a preponderance fo these emotions are resident in an individual, it is sufficient proof that exists in their being even if they deny that they have any shame at all. Those who would minister to those with shame will occasionally encounter those who will vehemently deny that they have shame. Using the list of emotions supplied in this teaching is on of the only way to begin to persuade someone to consider their situation and to allow themselves to be helped.

One of the most important things to remember when dealing with the emotions of people with shame is: feelings do not have to be true to be real. This point must be made to those who have come to the place of believing that everything that they feel is true because they feel it. As long as they believe that they will never be free! Feelings and facts are not synonymous. Felling something does not prove that it is true!
